Hey, Pumpkin! Fall Card

Welcome to October! Here in Minnesota, the leaves are changing and I’m seeing pumpkins adorning peoples porches.

I love this time of year (even though I dread the long cold winters that usually follow). I’m always amazed at the array of colors in nature in the fall.

The Stampin’ Up!® September-December 2024 mini catalog is full of fun goodies, including the Warms My Heart stamp set. It’s a stand-alone, or image only, set…meaning it does not have matching dies.

It think all the images are perfect for create a card for connecting with a friend, whether in the fall, winter or Christmas.

Hey, Pumpkin! Fun Fall Card made with Warms My Heart Stamp Set

I kept this card fairly simple, layering Lost Lagoon and Crumb Cake on top of a Basic Beige card base, after distressing the edges with my scissors.

I ran the Lost Lagoon layer through the machine with the Forever Plaid embossing folder.

The alcohol ink coloring with the Stampin’ Up!® Stampin’ Blends™ markers was the star of the show. My YouTube tutorial shows how I use two to three colors to add depth and dimension when coloring. My style is to keep it fairly easy and practical.

After adhering the main image to the card, I added the sentiment “Hey, Pumpin!” with dimensionals, along with a few black Classic Matte Dots.

One product I used that was not Stampin’ Up! was the Dina Wakely Media Gloss Spray in Ancient. It’s a shimmery antique gold. After shaking the bottle, I remove the lid and tap/splatter the ink onto the cardstock from the tube itself, rather than spraying onto the cardstock.
